Going Open Source

by BogdanMarch 9, 2010

Recently on several of the computers we use at Bogmil main office, a warning popped out saying that we may be victims of software fraud. We are all using Windows 7. Initially, we thought it was a virus of some sort. Turns out we were wrong.
That’s when I made the decision to do a complete [...]

Going off Google

by BogdanNovember 20, 2009

Up until recently, Bogmil has been using Google Apps for all of its needs – email, documents, calendar and Sites. And it worked out pretty well. GMail, as always, is fast and feature rich, while Google Documents and Calendar served its basic purpose. Oh, and by the way, Bogmil is completely dedicated to Cloud Computing.

Some updates

by BogdanFebruary 25, 2009

Bogmil Company is slowly, but surely recovering from recent “sort-of” crisis.
How did we do it? Well, we decided to fight back the recession. Instead of begging the government to give us some bail out, we have decided to bail us out by ourselves
First, a financial injection came from some of the staff. Something [...]

Monthly email spam report

by BogdanFebruary 15, 2009

I have decided not to delete any of the spam messages, but put them in a spam folder – for a month. Just to see how many spam I will get.
It is not that serious; to tell you the truth, I was expecting more.
I use GMail for my personal account, and we use Google-powered email [...]

Global economic crisis and its impact on us

by BogdanFebruary 15, 2009

People have been asking me lately what were (are) the effects of the GEC (Global Economic Crisis) on Bogmil Company. They were wondering if they were severe, or mild, dangerous, or unspotted.

To tell you the truth, we did feel the impact. And although I will not disclose the figures (for obvious reasons), I will tell [...]

Defying the OpenID purpose

by BogdanJanuary 8, 2009

I am sure that most of you have heard of OpenID initiative. Well, if you haven’t, let’s just say that it allows you to create one login ID that you can use on many websites – that support OpenID. For example, by creating wordpress.com account, you automatically get an OpenID. The same case is with [...]
