The old “flip-a-site” method is dead

by Bogdan on January 6, 2009

If you were hoping to use one of those old “flip-a-site” method recently, I am sorry to disappoint you, but that is not gonna happen. It is no longer possible to buy a turnkey website for $50, put some auto-generated content from RSS, invest $30 in AdWords or similar, and then sell it for $2,999 claiming that the website has “unlimited potential” and “very large market”.

- Why? – you ask yourselves. – Why doesn’t it work anymore?

Because people stopped buying that crap.

The economy in the world is in recession, as you are all aware. People are no longer willing to invest just like that. They’d rather research the topic, and the only thing they need to do is to be told “Content is king” and an URL of a website that checks for duplicate content.

That’s why the market is currently flooded with websites of a such. People are trying to sell them for a dime, just to get rid of them.

We at Bogmil Company conduct serious check to see whether the website belongs to this category. If it does – and it does a lot of times – it doesn’t even come up on our listing. We don’t wanna scam our clients :-/

Anyway, if you were hoping to earn a lot in 24 hours, it won’t happen. Remember, unless you win the lottery, it is not possible to make a huge amount of money in a very short time.

I couldn’t agree more. Although I wish I was around when those strategies worked they are indeed dead.

I wish so too. That would be, what many called, easy money.
